Sibyl Hofstetter is a Swiss singer whose work spans jazz, chanson, and free improvisation. She is best known for her collaboration with bass player Thomas Dürst and accordionist Lea Gasser in the Thomas Dürst Trio, where she combines a warm, expressive voice with an experimental openness and a strong stage presence. Her musical work moves between classic jazz songs, poetic chansons, and improvised sound art. The focus is less on virtuosic lead vocals and more on collective musical storytelling. She belongs to a young generation of Swiss female musicians who view jazz not as a rigid genre, but as an open space for emotion, experimentation, and collective improvisation.
