Lynn Nora Henz

Linn Nora Henz is an artist with a background in cinema, working conceptually with image, language, time and space. Through a gestural approach, she infiltrates established structures, revealing the performative undercurrents and the ambiguity of the contemporary. Her gaze is commited to how esthetics are inherited and instrumentalised, and on the ways they condition and charge objects and subjects. Bringing forth both materialized and mental images, Linn Nora exposes and celebrates their trickery and artifice, adapting traditional image-making techniques to her resources. Maintaining a « movable studio », she draws son exchange networks and collaborations to source materials and refined knowhow, thereby reconciling and defending her taste for both quality and autonomy.
