Val Bavona – A picturesque exploration of the upper Maggia Valley

The group exhibition brings together paintings and drawings created during a two-week stay by ten artists in Val Bavona (TI) in the summer of 2025. The rugged, sometimes harsh landscape at the far end of the valley was explored and researched through painting and drawing. The result is a multi-part portrait of a landscape that is not particularly inviting, but all the more impressive for it. The works on display provide an insight into the process of outdoor painting and the adventure of seeing and light.
