The 100-kilometre run, the signature event of the Biel Running Days, is a formidable challenge and an adventure par excellence. The Biel Running Days are Biel’s largest sporting event. The competition includes races over different distances and attracts a great many visitors from near and far. About 4,000 runners will be sent into the darkness – the “night of nights” – by the cheering crowd.
Instead of a 100-kilometre route that runs through two cantons (BE/SO), there will be a varied 20-kilometre circular route from Biel/Bienne via Lengnau and Pieterlen back to Biel/Bienne, which the runners will complete 5 times. The last 6km will be run on the original route, but with a new finish at the Tissot Arena.
In addition to the famous 100-kilometre run with individual runners and relays (including military), there will probably also be numerous other offers, for example in the areas of half marathon, adventure and kids.
