The museum of art and history in Biel/Bienne has quite a mixture, but also captivating.
This museum exhibits some of the collection of flora and fauna watercolors by the Robert painters. The brothers Karl and Robert Walser also have pride of place. Here, you have the chance to rediscover the genius of these two brothers. Would you like to enter the world of a bourgeois family from the end of the 19th century? Well, put on a pair of slippers and visit two completely preserved apartments.
Another part of the museum is devoted to the industrial history of Biel/Bienne: watchmaking, textiles and wire works. At the end, you will discover the Cinécollection, a collection tracing the invention of cinema. But the high point of the visit is a human-sized camera obscure allowing you to watch the passers along the river.
