Streichorchester SOLAIO meets MAKEL & FRIENDS

WHEN WINTER LINGERS and spring is slow to arrive, a very special space opens for music and storytelling. In their joint program “Waiting for the Month of May”, MAKEL & FRIENDS and the chamber ensemble SOLAIO explore new paths – between the poetry of singer-songwriters and the world of classical music. Singer-songwriter Sam Makel sings of the winter heaviness and the longing for spring. He is accompanied by his musical partner Christina Dubugnon and the chamber orchestra SOLAIO. Conducted by Andreas Heiniger, the ensemble musically interprets the themes of the songs. The interplay of two seemingly opposite worlds – modern troubadour and classical chamber orchestra – promises a varied and captivating concert experience.
