De l'arbre au quatuor
Ever since the release of the captivating film "Le songe du luthier" ("The Luthier's Dream"), instruments crafted from a specific tree's wood have embarked on an extraordinary musical journey. Passed from one quartet to another, they have been embraced by the Casals Quartet, Sion Quartet, Ernest Quartet, Solem Quartet, and now, the Adastra Quartet.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of 'Les amis du Quatuor,' more than 20 concerts have taken place throughout Switzerland, celebrating the unparalleled harmony of these instruments. This year, a prestigious invitation led them to the Musée de la lutherie de Mirecourt in France.
Though the pandemic posed challenges in the last three years, Pierre and his musician friends couldn't be happier to reunite with the instruments, breathing life into their magical soundscapes once again.
A profound sentiment echoes through each quartet's experience—the remarkable homogeneity of sound from four instruments hewn from the same tree. This enchanting balance and unity create an exceptional musical fusion, enriching the world with the symphonic essence of the nature's finest craftsmanship.
