ANASTASIA VOLTCHOK – piano

This exceptional pianist, versatile artist and life-affirming woman, honoured with a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Maryland and a Gold Medal at the World Piano competition in Cincinnati in 2003, was born to a family of professional musicians, musical tradition coming from her grandfather, famous Ukranian baritone Sergiy Kozak. Anastasia has led a life shaped by music, the fine arts and an open world view. Among her mentors and teachers are Larissa Dedova, Rudolf Buchbinder, Andre Watts and Santiago Rodriguez.
Since her orchestral debut with Haydn piano concerto at age 8 Anastasia Voltchok has performed extensively throughout Western and Eastern Europe and the United States to a high critical acclaim.
On tour Voltchok appears with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Mariinsky Orchestra St.Petersburg, the Bamberger Symphoniker, the Hamburger Symphoniker, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Sao Paolo Philharmonic Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfonica de Navarra, Kremerata Baltica.
In recital among recent highlights are performances at New York’s Lincoln Center, Tonhalle Zurich, Santa Cecilia in Rome, Victoria Hall Geneva, the Gulbenkian in Lisbon. Voltchok collaborates closely with conductors and soloists, such as Dennis Russell Davies, Valery Gergiev, Roman Kofman, Gidon Kremer and Martha Argerich.
Voltchok’s performances have been broadcast all over Europe and in the United States. She has recorded with Novalis, Solo Musica and Genuin labels.
